Two more men sent to prison in shooting death
Two more men were sentenced to prison Wednesday for their involvement in the shooting death of Quincy Freeman.
Nathan Carter, 24, was ordered to serve 18 years to life in prison for firing the shot that killed Mr. Freeman during a Nov. 3 robbery near Findlay Market.
A co-defendant, 23-year-old Ishmell Foster, was sentenced to 11 years by Judge Robert Ruehlman.
Mr. Carter pleaded guilty to murder and Mr. Foster pleaded to involuntary manslaughter as part of an agreement with prosecutors.
In exchange, they testified against a third defendant, 26-year-old David Lee.
Prosecutors say the three men confronted Mr. Freeman, 20, and ordered him to the ground. While Mr. Lee and Mr. Foster prepared to go through his pockets, prosecutors say, Mr. Carter shot Mr. Freeman in the head.
“You ain't nothing but some low-life dogs,” Mr. Freeman's mother, Medina, said Wednesday in Hamilton County Common Pleas Court. “I hope you both burn in hell.”
