Askey doesn't duck at 45 shots
SPRINGFIELD, MA Rasto Pavlikovsky scored three goals to record the first hat trick of his two-year professional career and Tom Askey stopped 45 shots as the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks beat the Springfield Falcons 5-1 Friday.
The victory was the third in the last four games for the Mighty Ducks.
Askey kept the Falcons frustrated all night, stopping 37-of-38 shots over the game's final two periods to become the first goalie to record 20 victories in a season for the Mighty Ducks.
He has always made the big saves when we needed them and he's kept us in a lot of games, Ducks coach Moe Mantha said.
Lloyd Shaw scored his first goal of the season.
