Lost memento? Church in Sycamore may have it

BY PERRY BROTHERS
The Cincinnati Enquirer

Found: A Bible, a wedding dress, a death certificate, some photographs and about 100 other pieces of clothing.

Lost: The owners of these and other personal belongings that were recovered after the tornado.

Last week, relief workers at Sycamore Presbyterian Church started a repository at the church, 11800 Mason Road., for the scattered belongings.

“We are very early in the development of the program,” said Errol Everson, a Sycamore Presbyterian member and assistant director of the church's relief effort.

Mr. Everson anticipates a heavy influx of belongings by the end of this weekend, after a volunteer-driven debris clean-up and hunt for lost property campaign wraps up.

Eric Minamyer, president of the Symmes Township board of trustees, organized the "Clean-up Symmes Saturday,' to go into wooded areas and ravines to gather debris and personal effects by hand. Mr. Minamyer said his office received more than 250 calls from volunteers, and many of the callers represented groups of clean-up volunteers.

The found property will be sent to Sycamore Presbyterian.

Anyone with lost or found personal property should contact the church at 683-0254.
