Anchorwoman Rashid faces DUI charge




        SHARONVILLE — WLWT-TV (Channel 5) news anchor Norma Rashid is scheduled to appear in Sharonville Mayor's Court todayon charges of driving under the influence and failure to control her vehicle, Sharonville police said.

        Ms. Rashid, 43, of Ft. Thomas, Ky., was stopped at 11:16 p.m. Friday after she allegedly lost control of her Land Cruiser on westbound Interstate 275, near Reed Hartman Highway, and spun into the median. She was inside the vehicle when police arrived, and they detected an odor of alcohol, police said.

        Ms. Rashid's blood-alcohol level was 0.168 percent. The legal limit for drunk driving in Ohio is 0.10 percent. She was released on her own recognizance.
