Teens arrested in pellet shootings
Cincinnati police have arrested three teen-age boys in a string of pellet shootings in Northside.
A 16-year-old Sedamsville boy faces three counts of felonious assault. Police say he fired the trigger in a pellet shooting Monday that struck a 63-year-old woman twice in the temple.
The boy also is charged in two other shootings one involving a 35-year-old Northside man being shot at Feb. 24, and the other involving an 8-year-old Northside boy who was shot with a pellet Monday.
The two other suspects a 16-year-old South Fairmount boy and a 17-year-old Northside boy face charges of complicity to felonious assault. Their cases will be heard in Hamilton County Juvenile Court.
The arrests mean police say they have identified the shooters in three of the eight pellet shootings that have plagued the neighborhood since February.
Police say the investigation is continuing and more suspects may be charged.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 352-3040. The hot line offers up to $1,000 for tips that lead to arrests.
