Volunteers who helped following the April 9 tornado will get thank-yous today at a celebration party.
Sponsored by Jacor Communications and Fifth Third Bank, the event will take place tonight from 5 to 8 p.m. at Sycamore Junior High School, 5757 Cooper Road. It will feature games for children, prize drawings and live entertainment. Free food and drinks will be provided.
During the event, Fifth Third will present the Red Cross with the Jacor Relief Fund check, culminating the amount of donations to help those in need.
As of Friday, $322,000 had been collected, said Stacie Yee, spokeswoman for Fifth Third Bank.
