The Cincinnati Police Division and Fraternal Order of Police are commemorating Police Memorial Week.

Mayor Roxanne Qualls and Hamilton County Commissioner Bob Bedinghaus will preside at a 7:30 p.m. ceremony today at the Hamilton County Courthouse.

Afterward, police and other participants will parade to the police memorial at 311 Ezzard Charles Drive, across from police headquarters in the West End, for an 8:30 p.m. candlelight ceremony and laser light show.

Gov. Bob Taft, a Cincinnatian, will be keynote speaker.

About 25 police agencies will display law enforcement tools 4-7 p.m. today in the Town Center Garage, located behind the police memorial.
