Staying in
        • Beautiful Burt: Composer Burt Bacharach, 70 years old today, may be the surprise in People magazine's list of the 50 most beautiful people in the world. But Mike Myers, who starred with the Oscar- and Grammy-winner in the 1997 film Austin Powers, explains the appeal: “He's laid back with that cool, husky voice. Chicks find him dreamy.”

        • Critic's picks: It's a chip off our old block! Anderson Township native Chip Chinery plays Jerry the bowler on the Drew Carey Show when Drew and Mimi (Kathy Kinney) hustle money from unsuspecting bowlers (9 p.m., Channels 9, 2). TV Critic John Kiesewetter also reminds Fran Drescher fans that The Nanny signs off after six seasons, with the birth of twins (8-9 p.m., Channels 12, 7).

What's in stores today
        • On disc: The week's biggest CD release is a self-titled one by Ricky Martin (Sony; $17.98 CD, $11.98 cassette). The former Menudo heartthrob (and also one of People's 50 most beautiful) sings “Livin' La Vida Loca.” Top Dogg (Priority; $17.98 CD, $11.98 cassette) is the latest from Snoop Dogg. But the week's big rap release is the soundtrack to Turf Stories (Sony; $17.98 CD, $11.98 cassette) featuring all new tracks from Too Short, DMX and Mo Thugs featuring Layzie Bone. Caffeinated alt-country fans can order their Starbucks espresso with a side order of Mile Marker 383 (Starbucks/Universal; $11.95 CD only). The road-music compilation, available only at Starbucks, features 15 songs by the likes of Lyle Lovett, Lucinda Williams, Steve Earle, Kelly Willis, Whiskeytown and Gillian Welch.
