PEOPLE ON THE MOVE
Steven R. Sutermeister has been appointed senior vice president and chief investment officer at Union Central Life Insurance Co. Mr. Sutermeister was president of Summit Investment Partners, an investment subsidiary of Union Central. He will be responsible for the management of Carillon Advisers Inc., a registered investment advisory firm and wholly-owned subsidiary of Union Central. He will also oversee the operation of the investment department. He began his career with the company in 1990 as vice president of fixed income.
Deborah Fenker has joined Huff Realty as sales associate, Montgomery office.
Ian O'Brien has been named electronic commerce practice manager at Triple-I Systems Inc., information technology solutions provider.
Daniel P. Meyer has been named chief executive officer at Giage Ltd., a software start-up that solves problems of information overload in personal computing.
The following officers were appointed to the board of trustees of the Cincinnati Association for the Blind: Jerry C. Reichert, president; Stephen S. Eberly, vice president/counsel; Susan S. Friedlander, James A. Murray and Beth A. Myers, vice presidents; Bradley A. Kindem, vice president/treasurer; and Robert J. Watkins, vice president/secretary.
Bonnie R. Nichols has joined BHDP Architecture as interior designer.
Douglas Olsen has joined Hensley Segal Rentschler, marketing communications firm, as client service executive; Brian Wood, art director; and Kellie Grob, senior public relations consultant.
Matt Brooke has been appointed director of sales at Midwest Connect Inc., an affiliate of Modern Office Methods.
Christopher G. Shaffer has joined Licensing Financial Services Inc. as senior auditor for the royalty compliance division. Mr. Shaffer was formally a staff auditor at Federated Department Stores.
