Council awaits report on expanding Sabin center
In spite of much anticipation, various proposals to pay for a $350 million expansion of the Albert B. Sabin Cincinnati Convention Center did not reach the floor of city council Thursday.
Council members, who have floated various funding ideas, agreed to wait for a report from City Manager John Shirey. The report is due next week.
In other business, council:
Voted 7-2 to give $6,000 to Party on the Hill, a community event in Price Hill. Members Jim Tarbell and Phil Heimlich voted against it.
Approved an extension for a riverfront advisory committee report, moving it from June to September. The committee will propose development between the new football and baseball stadiums on the Ohio River.
