Country Day checked after threats
The Cincinnati Enquirer
INDIAN HILL Police used hand-held metal detectors to search high school students at Cincinnati Country Day School on Thursday after two students reported receiving threats over the Internet.
Police will continue using the detectors today, said Ralph Javens, the school's spokesman. Nothing unusual was found Thursday on the approximately 220 upper-school students.
The threats were vague and referred only to some harm coming at the end of the school year, Mr. Javens said. Indian Hill's last day of regular classes is today.
The threats were received about May 20 through a free messenger online chat service. The students reported them to school officials, who called Indian Hill police.
Police have been unable to determine who sent the messages, Mr. Javens said.
