Enquiring minds
        • Pop shopping: Looking for the less usual in Father's Day presents? “We . . . find that most men prefer toys for grown-ups,” says Jennifer Roberts of the International Mass Retail Association. In a Radio Shack survey, 376 of 400 American dads said they preferred consumer electronics as gifts. Other choices: restaurant meals (88 percent) clothing (85 percent) and sports tickets or equipment (78 percent). Survey surprise: 80 percent said they'd like a framed family photograph.

Planning ahead
        • A day away: Chefs Jean-Robert de Cavel, David Cook, Henry Warman and others demonstrate the art of cooking pork chops at the Findlay Market Pork Chop Festival, 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Saturday. Plenty of chops to eat, too, and live music. Free admission. 956-1852.
