Spouse charged in stabbing

BY SAUNDRA AMRHEIN
The Cincinnati Enquirer

DEERFIELD TOWNSHIP — What started as a talk about marital problems ended in a stabbing at a state park in Deerfield Township.

Frank Moore, 38, of Mason, was charged Wednesday with attempted murder and domestic violence in the Tuesday night attack on his wife, 35-year-old Tamara Moore, the Warren County Sheriff's Office said.

Ms. Moore was in fair condition Wednesday at University Hospital, said spokeswoman Alicia Kinney.

The couple had been separated and Ms. Moore was preparing to file for divorce when she agreed to meet him for dinner, said sheriff's Lt. Jerry Mays.

They wound up at the Carl Rahe Access at the Little Miami State Park.

Just before 10 p.m., a motorist on Old 3 C Highway south of Socialville-Fosters Road found Ms. Moore stumbling out of the park and called police.

Ms. Moore had been stabbed in the abdomen, back and throat, Lt. Mays said. Police did not find the weapon and Lt. Mays refused to say what type of knife was used. Mr. Moore was arrested at his home at 5535 Sterling Circle in Mason at about 2 a.m. Wednesday. He was being held Wednesday at the Warren County Jail until he posts $100,000 cash or 10 percent of a $250,000 bond, Lt. Mays said.
