Staying in
        • TV picks: Nobody shouted “Encore! Encore!” for Nathan Lane's NBC sitcom last fall, but he's back in his element with a tribute to Danny Kaye on Evening at Pops with the Boston Pops Orchestra (8 p.m., Channel 48).

        TV Critic John Kiesewetter may sneak a peek at MTV's Celebrity Deathmatch between Alanis Morrisette and Jewel (10 p.m., MTV), while watching the Legendary Hollywood Homes of Bing Crosby, Jayne Mansfield and Buster Keaton (10 p.m., American Movie Classics).

Brand spankin' new
        • Kids clothes: The Save the Children Collection, a new line of children's clothing and accessories, will debut Aug. 22 in T.J. Maxx stores. The fashion mix will include jeans, overalls, shorts, sweaters, polar fleece tops, jackets, pants and jumpers for toddlers and young children. The prints and patterns were designed by children, and everything will be $20 or less. Save the Children, a non-profit child assistance organization, has programs in 40 countries.
