Ky. man helped Kennedy keep fit
Trainer worked with him in N.Y.

For two years they cycled through New York City three days a week and lifted weights.
Although Rocco Castellano only knew John F. Kennedy Jr. as a client, the professional relationship the two formed nearly 10 years ago left an indelible mark on him.
Today Mr. Castellano owns Rocco's Complete Fitness Systems Inc. in Covington. But before moving to the Cincinnati area in 1994, he worked out with such luminaries as Spike Lee, George Foreman and Mr. Kennedy.
Mr. Castellano, a former boxer who was Mr. Kennedy's personal trainer in 1990 and 1991, said news of the apparent plane crash hit him like a low blow.
I took it pretty hard, Mr. Castellano said. He was one of the most likeable guys I ever met. He never had to be nice to me or the people around us, but he always was.
Mr. Castellano said he took away many lessons just from watching and talking to Mr. Kennedy during the workouts.
He always told me that he never asked to be a Kennedy, and he always tried to be his own person, Mr. Castellano said. He always wanted to try everything he possibly could.
And he always liked to push the envelope.
Mr. Kennedy was piloting a personal aircraft Friday night on his way to Martha's Vineyard when it is believed to have crashed into the Atlantic Ocean.
