TRISTATE MARKET SPOTLIGHT

LCA-Vision makes up most of loss

LCA-Vision Inc. gained $1.371/2, or 16.9 percent, to close Thursday at $9.50. The rebound covers most of the stock's loss since Monday, when it closed at $10 a share.

No news was issued Thursday by the company, which is in the Kenwood area of Sycamore Township. The gain comes, however, as a competitor, Laser Vision Centers Inc., was raised to strong buy from buy by an analyst at Advest. He expects the stock to reach $72 within a year. Laser Vision Centers rose $5.121/2, or 9.8 percent, to $57.371/2 and traded as high as $58.50 Thursday.
