Visitor center sells tickets to attractions
Visitors to Greater Cincinnati now can get admission tickets to area attractions at the Northern Kentucky Visitors Center, 605 Philadelphia St., in Covington.
Our goal is to improve the visitor's experience, said Marie Fuehner, director of convention and visitor services at the Northern Kentucky Convention and Visitors Bureau.
She said she hopes to include more local attractions in the center's lineup, such as museums and exhibits. Currently, tickets for Oceanic Adventures at Newport Aquarium and for Paramount's Kings Island are available.

Pact with steelworkers lets merger proceed
Steelworkers at the USS/Kobe Steel Co. plant in Lorain, Ohio, overwhelmingly ratified a four-year contract, paving the way for a merger with Republic Technologies International Inc., a union leader said.
David McCall, director of the United Steelworkers District 1 in Ohio, said 81 percent of Lorain steelworkers approved the contract. The ballots, counted Wednesday at the union's headquarters in Pittsburgh, showed 1,525 union members voted for the contract and 358 against.
The contract provides wage increases and improvements in employment security, insurance and pensions. It also includes about $75 million in capital improvements at the Lorain plant, west of Cleveland.
The vote is expected to clear the way for USS/Kobe's bar steel operations to merge with New York-based Blackstone Group, which controls Republic Technologies International Inc.'s operations based in Fairlawn, Ohio.
