OXFORD — A police sting Tuesday busted a cocaine ring involving seven local residents who police said had operated within 100 feet of an elementary school.

The six adults and one juve nile arrested lived in the same mobile home and apartment complex just north of the city, said Oxford police officials.

“They were totally destroying a neighborhood,” said Oxford Police Detective Sgt. John Buchholz.

He said some of the suspects first operated a crack cocaine ring out of their homes in the Parkview Arms Apartments, on College Corner Pike, within 100 feet of Kramer Elementary.

The school's proximity means the suspects will face more serious felony charges under Ohio law.

The suspects moved to the nearby Day Estates Mobile Home Park & Apartments on College Corner Pike, about two months ago.

“People were stopping all the time, and after five min utes, leaving,” said Sgt. Buchholz.

Police conducted a 10-month undercover investigation with assistance from the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation and sheriff's deputies from Butler and Montgomery counties.

        The suspects:

        • David A. Wynn, 37, College Corner Pike, two counts of cocaine trafficking and twoof possession.

        • Antoine Jamison, 25, College Corner Pike, five counts of trafficking in cocaine and five of possession.

        • Randall L. Rader, 30, College Corner Pike, three counts of trafficking marijuana.

        • Patricia A. King, 36, College Corner Pike, one count of trafficking cocaine, one of possession of cocaine, twoof trafficking in dangerous drugs and four of sale of dangerous drugs.

        • Jason Sheppheard, 20, College Corner Pike, one count of trafficking in cocaine and one of possession.

        • Michael J. Simmons, 32, College Corner Pike, two counts of trafficking in cocaine, one of possession and two of permitting drug abuse.

        • A 15-year-old juvenile from Oxford faces two counts of trafficking in marijuana.
