The Cincinnati Enquirer
HAMILTON A suspect in the robbery of a drive-through unwittingly helped Hamilton police arrest him.
First, the suspect's face was captured by the video camera of the drive-through that he is accused of robbing and four police officers who saw the video recognized him as an acquaintance, said Officer Don Taylor, police spokesman.
Then the man showed up as scheduled Wednesday morning for a hearing on a domestic-violence charge, Officer Taylor said.
Officers arrested Edward Lee Kinkaid, 39, in connection with the Tuesday night rob bery of Minnick's Drive-Thru in the 300 block of North E Street.
Mr. Kinkaid's bond was set at $5,000. He was being held in the Butler County Jail on a charge of robbery and a charge of domestic violence.
The robbery charge stems from an incident at 11 p.m., when a drive-through employee reported being robbed of $300 by a man who he said threatened, Give me all your money or I'll be back in 10 minutes to blow your brains out.
The domestic violence charge was filed Aug. 11 after a family member told police that Mr. Kinkaid held her down, pulled her hair and shook her head.
