Levies approved for ballot

The Cincinnati Enquirer

Commissioners voted Wednesday to place two levies on the November ballot.

The Health and Hospitalization levy, which would help fund Drake Center Inc. and three county health programs, will appear on the ballot at 1.59 mills. That would cost the owner of a $100,000 home about $49 per year.

The other levy will be a Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities (MRDD) levy at 3.53 mills — an increase of 0.80-mill.

That levy, which pays for a variety of programs for people with mental retardation, would cost the owner of a $100,000 home about $108 annually.
