Truck driver in fatal crash likely to post bond
The truck driver accused of causing a fatal collision on Interstate 275 is expected to be freed on bond within the next few days.
The lawyer for Clayton Kuehn, 40, of Cadiz, Ky., said his client's employer would likely post the $40,000 necessary to get him out of jail.
After a hearing Thursday in Hamilton County Common Pleas Court, Judge Melba Marsh set his bond at $400,000 but allowed him to post 10 percent of that amount.
Mr. Kuehn was charged with four counts of involuntary manslaughter after his tractor-trailer rig slammed into a van on Aug. 5, killing four people.
Mr. Kuehn's lawyer, James Nicholas, told the judge his client is married with three children, has no criminal record and an excellent driving record.
He said he was named driver of the month for his company in August 1998.
Mr. Kuehn faces up to 20 years in prison.
