Bellevue 58, Dayton 0
Bellevue and Dayton are archrivals, and thus usually produce tight, low-scoring football games. Not Friday.
Bellevue stormed to a 58-0 victory over the visiting Greendevils, improving to 2-0 in a bid for its first winning season since 1991.
Tigers junior quarterback Nate Berkley had a perfect night, connecting on all eight of his passes for 158 yards and three scores.
James Delaney (160 yards) and Sonny Rechtin (100) combined for 260 yards rushing and three scores as the Tigers rolled to a 37-0 halftime lead and coasted thereafter.
Bellevue won 14-7 at Whitley County in its season opener last week.
The silver lining for Dayton: This game won't count toward Class A district standings. The teams annually meet in the season opener and season finale, with the latter being the district battle.
