What's in stores today
Small nuisance: Baby Furbies are on the way ($30). The plush interactive Gremlin-like creatures will be hitting the Tristate shortly. They were delivered to Toys R Us in New York today and will be in Tristate stores soon. Babies are smaller, pastel versions of last-season Furbies. Their conversation is described as more playful and juvenile.
Movie picks: Today's the day Titanic arrives on DVD, much to the delight of fans who have been waiting for a chance to watch the big boat go down shot-by-shot. Unlike the scruffy bootleg DVD that has been selling on the black market, this version features clear digital sound and picture, multiple language soundtracks, closed captions, Spanish subtitles and other DVD frills.
