Clooney moves to WSAI
BY JOHN KIESEWETTER
The Cincinnati Enquirer
Nick Clooney returns to Tristate radio Sept. 13, hosting afternoon drive on WSAI-AM (1530).
Mr. Clooney was morning host on the station, then called WCKY-AM, before becoming a WKRC-TV (Channel 12) news anchor in June 1976.
He will work 3-6 p.m. James Francis Patrick O'Neill moves to 6-9 p.m. Evening host Sandy Megowen remains with the station as a writer and fill-in air personality.
Mr. Clooney, 64, who left American Movie Classics in July after five years, would be a logical choice to replace morning host Bob Braun, 70, if he retires at the end of his contract on Dec. 31.
That's not an issue right now. That hasn't been discussed, says Sherry Rowland, WSAI-AM promotion manager.
