Cable show highlights Cincinnati neighborhoods

The Cincinnati Enquirer

Residents of Cincinnati's 52 neighborhoods soon will see their homes featured on a new cable television show.

“Cincinnati Neighborhoods — Gems of the Queen City” will highlight neighborhood housing, business districts, gardens and improvement projects.

The half-hour programs will be shown at 2 a.m. and 4 p.m. Mondays; 9 p.m. Wednesdays; 6 a.m. Thursdays; 5 a.m. and 3 p.m. Fridays; and 5 p.m. Saturdays. They can be seen on Time Warner Cable channel 23 within the city.

Produced by the city's Department of Economic Devel opment, the Department of Neighborhood Services, and CitiCable, the programs aim to showcase progress made at the neighborhood level. They will focus on projects sponsored by the two departments as well as those done in partnership with nonprofit organizations.

The program hosts are Barbara Milon, executive director of the Neighborhood Development Corporations Association of Cincinnati, and Gwen Finegan, vice president of the Cincinnati Neighborhood Business Districts United.
