Oxford's Southard sets sights on Ohio House seat
The Cincinnati Enquirer
OXFORD City Councilwoman Sally Southard announced Mondaythat she will seek the Republican nomination next year for the Ohio House seat representing the 60th District.
The seat is held by Rep. Gene Krebs, R-Camden, who cannot seek re-election in 2000 because of the term-limits law. The 60th House District includes Preble County and the western half of Butler County.
Mrs. Southard, 60, is a former Butler County commissioner and has been a member of the Ohio Board of Education, the Butler County Board of Education and the Talawanda Board of Education.
Mrs. Southard is a graduate of Miami University and has lived in Oxford with her husband, Jack, for 33 years. They have three children.
