Woman charged in fatal crash

The Cincinnati Enquirer

A 19-year-old White Oak woman was arrested and charged Monday in the death of Morgan Township woman from a Sept. 4 car crash in White Oak.

The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office charged Lisa D. Geverts of the 6000 block of Peachview Drive with vehicular homicide.

According to the sheriff's office, Ms. Geverts was driving a 1989 Chrysler LeBaron north on Cheviot Road when she failed to yield the right of way. The Chrysler collided with a Plymouth Voyager driven by Lois Helfrich, 61, of Morgan Township. Mrs. Helfrich died Sept. 5 as the result of head injuries.
