Car skids into school bus on wet road
The Cincinnati Enquirer
INDEPENDENCE Four teen-agers were slightly injured Wednesday afternoon when their car slid on a wet curve of Cody Road and struck an eastbound Kenton County school bus.
Independence Police Officer John Lonaker, who was driving just behind the bus and witnessed the accident, said the car crossed the road and struck the bus in the left front.
None of the kids in the car had serious injuries, he said. They said they were all wearing seat belts. Two adults and five children in the school bus were not injured.
The teen-agers, all from the Independence area, were treated and released from St. Elizabeth Hospital South in Edgewood.
Officer Lonaker said the driver, who was not identified, would be cited for driving too fast for road conditions.
