Meetings explain plan for riverfront

The Cincinnati Enquirer

The Cincinnati Riverfront Advisory Commission held the first of several public information sessions Monday in Blue Ash. Chairman Jack Rouse and representatives from the city and county answered questions about the proposed riverfront development plan.

About 20 people attended Monday's meeting at UC's Raymond Walters College to learn more about the $248 million housing, retail, office and entertainment plan.

The commission will hold additional public forums this week on its recommendations for the central riverfront:

        • Today 5:30 p.m. at Covington City Hall, Council Chambers, 638 Madison Ave., Covington.

        • Wednesday 5:30 p.m. at the Albert B. Sabin Cincinnati Convention Center, Room 260, 252 Elm St., downtown.

        • Thursday 6 p.m. at the Urban League of Greater Cincinnati, 3458 Reading Road in Avondale.

Executive summaries will be distributed. The report is at www.riverfrontplanning.org.
