Clerk shot in robbery
COVINGTON Police were searching for two men Tuesday night they think were involved in a robbery at Kimmy's Korner Deli, where a clerk was shot in the face.
Police responded to the call just before 8:30 p.m.
Covington Detective Ron Trenkamp said the victim was in surgery at University Hospital in Cincinnati. Her condition was not available.
Detective Trenkamp would not elaborate on what happened inside the store, at Ninth and Main streets. He also would not release the clerk's name or where she lived.
Police are looking for two black males, one 6 feet tall and about 170 to 180 pounds, the other about 5-foot-8 and about 200 pounds. The two were seen leaving the scene in a small, dark-colored car with tinted windows.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Covington Police Department, 292-2222.
