Family rallies around 'Snoopy'
BY JACKIE DEMALINE
The Cincinnati Enquirer
The Great Pumpkin and the Easter Beagle join the Peanuts gang in Snoopy!, a musical sequel to You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown.
The Beechmont Players production, opening a two-weekend run Friday is something of a Richardson family affair.

Fairfield resident Jennifer Richardson, a 10-year Players veteran, took over when the original director dropped out. Husband Jeff has the title role and niece Sally Manolis, 16, is in her first principal role as wise little bird Woodstock. It's not nepotism, laughs the first-time director. She just happens to be surrounded by excellence.
Actually, this is Mr. Richardson's second go-round as Snoopy. It was his first role, when he tried theater in college in Michigan. Mrs. Richardson was similarly bitten by the theater bug in college. Song and dance led to romance for them; they met at Eastside Players in 1992.
Mr. Richardson had been chafing to get back on stage after going cold turkey when he started working third shift two years ago. The minute he started working days again, says Mrs. Richardson, he joined a local cast of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat then went almost straight into Snoopy!
Ms. Manolis, a junior at Fairfield High School, is doing double stage duty, also performing with a group of local teens in the touring show Dead Serious About Life.
As for Mrs. Richardson, she likes the directing gig. I already have a list of shows tucked in the back of my mind, she admits.
There will be a costume contest at every performance. Children (and parents) are invited to dress for Halloween. Children will win a gift certificate from Toys R Us.
