Man accused of stealing Beanie Babies collection

NORWOOD Norwood police arrested a man accused of stealing his girlfriend's Beanie Babies.
The man, Brian J. Garner, age 22, was charged with misdemeanor theft Friday by police. Mr. Garner, who has no known address, was being held in the Hamilton County Justice Center Friday.
According to police reports, Mr. Garner stole 43 Beanie Babies from his girlfriend's home Tuesday.
Mr. Garner is accused of taking them to a Kenwood store called Beanie Expo and selling them for $240, police reports said.
Police said that at the time of their initial purchase, the Beanie Babies were worth about $326.
The current market value of the beanbag collectibles is unknown, police said.
