CHICAGO Cincinnati Cyclones center Ian MacNeil recorded his first two-goal game, and goalie Randy Petruk made 38 saves in a 7-2 win over the Chicago Wolves Friday night.
MacNeil, a 1995 draft pick of the Hartford Whalers and currently under contract with the Carolina Hurricanes, picked up both of his goals in the second period and has a two-game goal scoring streak.
Petruk, who is also Carolina Hurricane property, has won both of his starts with the Cyclones. The 2.00 goals against average is the IHL's sixth-best. The seven goals were the most by the Cyclones this season.
