Police targeting Fort Washington Way
Cincinnati police conducted an extensive traffic enforcement detail along the newly opened Fort Washington Way corridor Tuesday, resulting in nearly two dozen citations.
Eleven vehicle-width restrictions, 10 speeding violations and one expired license violation were given out by authorities between 5-9 a.m.
Traffic enforcement and police visibility will continue to be priorities for the duration of construction on the corridor to ensure the safety of motorists and construction personnel, said Sgt. Bill Coombs of the traffic unit. Police will pay special attention to vehicle-width restrictions and other traffic violations in the corridor.
Officials hope to remind motorists of the ban on message boards above the interstates.
