Warren Co. gives 101.1% to United Way

LEBANON — The Warren County United Way's annual campaign reached its goal and then some, according to figures announced Thursday.
“We had 101.1 percent of our goal bringing in a total of $1,820,393,” said Sheri Foley, the United Way's campaign and communications director. “Our goal was $1,803,000. We celebrated meeting our goal.”
Last year,the campaign brought in $1,802,561.
Campaign organizers said they were facing an uphill battle this year because two of the largest company contributors were in the middle of downsizing. The companies were not named.
“A lot of companies in the area really pulled through for us,” Ms. Foley said. “We think everyone did a great job. We're definitely happy.”
The money raised goes to help support 28 local agencies that serve Warren County. United Way officials will meet with the agencies in the coming weeks to allocate the funds.
