3 firefighters hurt in brush fire
The Cincinnati Enquirer
A brush fire scorched several hundred acres of a Northern Kentucky hillside Friday night, injuring three firefighters.
The injuries were minor, said Ryland Heights fire officials, who battled the blaze for much of the night. The fire was noticed about 6 p.m., and firefighters were still on the scene near midnight.
The blaze was located along a rural stretch of Decoursey Pike in Fairview. The flames spread along a hillside, but did not threaten any homes in the neighborhood, firefighters said. There was no information available as to what may have caused the fire.
The firefighters were treated and released at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South in Edgewood.
