        • Musical note: Composer and conductor John Adams talks about his Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra concert this weekend on the Chris and Rob Late-Night Talk Show at 10 p.m. today on WAIF-FM (88.3).

        • Movie pick: The video debut of Big Daddy gives everyone an opportunity to see for themselves why audiences love Adam Sandler but critics don't.

        • In the stars: Now it begins — the march through the heavens and into the millennium via your personal horoscope. Three books, all from Thorsons (an imprint of HarperCollins) have hit the stores. Your Personal Horoscope 2000 ($13) is Joseph Polansky's day by day guide to the new year. Rocky Sung's Guide to Chinese Astrology and Feng Shui 2000 ($13) is Sung's mix of astrology, Yin and Yang and Feng Shui (use of five elements and eight symbols to predict the future) geared to 2000 (Year of the Dragon). Your Chinese Horoscope 2000 ($11) is Neil Somerville using traditional Chinese year designations to predict events and explain personality traits.
