Accused drug seller slips out of hospital
FORT MITCHELL Police are looking for a man accused of selling drugs who escaped by sneaking out of University Hospital.
Dudley Caldwell, 49, of London, Ky., was arrested Friday by Fort Mitchell police after he allegedly sped off during a traffic stop on Interstate 75 and rammed the car into a utility pole. Investigators later found pot, cocaine and $6,000 cash in the car and another 16 pounds of marijuana in a hotel room occupied by Mr. Caldwell and his wife.
Both the Caldwells were hospitalized briefly. Mr. Caldwell's wife, Genevieve, was transferred to the Kenton County Jail, where she remained Monday night. But somehow, Mr. Caldwell left the hospital without the authorities' knowledge. Hospital officials could not be reached late Monday.
