Record highs forecast for today, tomorrow

        Temperatures are expected to set record highs today and Wednesday before the weather returns to more autumn-like temperatures this weekend.

        Forecasters say today's high will hit 78, a reading that would beat the 1975 record of 76. Wednesday also could be a record breaker, with a predicted high of 76 — 2 degrees warmer than the record set in 1964.

        “(Today) is going to be a great day,” said AccuWeather meteorologist Jeff Wetzstein. “Basically, it's going to be great weather for November.”

        A cold front is expected to follow, dropping temperatures at least 20 degrees by Saturday, to a forecasted high of 56.
