Price Hill boy, 11, struck crossing street

An 11-year-old Price Hill boy was fighting for his life after being struck by a car Friday night.

David T. Hickson was in serious condition at Children's Hospital Medical Center, Cincinnati police said.

According to investigators, the boy was struck about 6:30 p.m. while crossing West Eighth Street at McPherson Avenue in Price Hill. He apparently lived in the neighborhood, officers said. He was struck by an eastbound car, driven by Aaron J. Spring, 26, of Oakley.

The driver was not injured, police said. No charges have been filed in the accident, which remains under investigation. According to police, the boy was not using a crosswalk when he was struck.
