Mighty Ducks 5, Kentucky 2
The Cincinnati Enquirer
LEXINGTON, Ky. B.J. Young scored two goals and rookie goaltender Gregg Naumenko stopped 26 shots as the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks began a six-game road trip by beating the Kentucky Thoroughblades 5-2 Tuesday at Rupp Arena.
The Ducks are 3-0-2-0 this season against Kentucky. They went three games over .500 for the first time in franchise history and into a third place tie with Hershey in the division.
Jeremy Stevenson (first period), Frank Banham (second period) and Johan Davidsson (third
period) also scored for the AHL Ducks (8-5-4-2), who have won four straight on the road and are 7-2-3-1 in their last 13.
(B.J.) has been a warrior for us, Ducks coach Moe Mantha said. He competes hard every shift, and it was nice to see him get rewarded by Detroit with a chance to play (in the NHL). Hopefully he'll get a chance to go back up.
