TRISTATE MARKET SPOTLIGHT


Fluor Corp. shares fall 6.6 percent

        Shares of Fluor Corp. fell $2.87 1/2, or almost 6.6 percent, Thursday to close at $41. The stock traded as low as $40.75.

        The price Thursday dipped below where it started a run-up Wednesday. Then, shares had gained $1.81 1/4, or 4.35 percent, to $43.87 1/2, after a Merrill Lynch analyst raised it from long-term accumulate to long-term buy.

        Fluor Corp., based in California, operates Fluor Daniel Fernald Inc., the management company hired by the Department of Energy to clean up the former uranium processing plant in Crosby Township.
