How the Wish List works
The Wish List is an annual project of The Cincinnati Enquirer that is administered by United Way.
In the fall, Tristate non-profit community groups are invited to submit the names of people in need. The submissions are screened by the Enquirer and United Way; those selected for the Wish List are written about in the newspaper.
The Wish List accepts contributions of money only.
Donations are given directly to the participating agencies.
Administrative costs are absorbed by the Enquirer and United Way, which means 100 percent of the money raised benefits the Wish List.
United Way has established a bank account into which contributions are deposited. You may designate which wish you would like to contribute to. Once a wish is realized, extra contributions are applied to other wishes. Money collected beyond what is needed to grant all the wishes is shared equally by the participating agencies.
Partial contributions are welcome.
Contributions are tax deductible.
