MASON Susan T. Zelman, Ohio superintendent of public instruction, will come to Mason High School for a regional forum Jan. 5 on problems facing Ohio schools.
The forum, 6-9 p.m., will be held in the school auditorium. It is one of several regional forums planned by the Ohio Department of Education.
Participants in the forum will be divided into groups by topic: school funding, school safety, standards and testing, facilities, the fourth-grade reading guarantee, the role of the Ohio Department of Education, and school accountability.
Ideas from the Mason forum and others around the state will be taken to Columbus and used to help formulate policy.
For more information, contact Shelly Benesh, Mason schools, 398-0474.
