Simon Kenton, ranked No.3 in the Enquirer's Northern Kentucky coaches poll, scored the final 13 points of the first quarter en route to handing Franklin County its first loss of the season, a 69-58 Pioneers win Tuesday.
Brandon Coppage scored six points during the first-quarter flurry and finished with a game-high 18 points.
Junior guard Jordan Stowers added 14 points, including 10-of-10 from the free-throw line.
