IT'S NOT TOO LATE TO...
Before the New Year: Make amends. Whatever emotional baggage remains in your life, the coming of a new millennium is a great time to unload it, says Dr. Walter Smitson, director of the University of Cincinnati's mental health clinic.
Say I'm sorry. Resolve lingering disputes with family/friends, forgive yourself, let go of your grudges and release your guilt.
Holding onto grievances, whatever they are, takes energy and it reduces your chance of achieving your goals in life, he says. Now's the time to ask the question, "What do you want to look back and see?'
