Police arrest suspect in ATM theft

Cincinnati police Thursday night arrested the last of three men accused of stealing an automated teller machine in a Westwood robbery Dec. 13.
Kevin Lamar Hoskins, 24, of the 1000 block of Ebony Lane, was arrested without incident about 7:45 p.m. in an apartment at 5469 Kirby Ave., said Sgt. Bill Haluek of District 5's investigative unit.
Sgt. Haluek said police had tracked Mr. Hoskins since 11 a.m. Thursday.
The SWAT team was called to the scene because police considered Mr. Hoskins dangerous, but the unit was not activated, , Sgt. Haluek said.
The first suspect, Jonathan Palmer III, 24, was arrested Dec. 23 after he was pulled over for speeding in a school zone. The officer did a background check and found open warrants for robbery and conspiracystemming from the Dec. 13 theft. He was released on $25,000 bond.
Michael L. Solomon, 24, of the 3700 block of Westmont Drive, was arrested Tuesday and released on bonds totaling $40,000.
Mr. Hoskins has past convictions for robbery and resisting arrest. Mr. Solomon has one adult conviction on a misdemeanor drug charge.
The men are accused of entering the Dairy Mart in the 2600 block of Putz Place about 3:35 a.m. and spraying the clerk with a chemical irritant, police said.
The men then allegedlycarried the ATM to a van and fled, police said.
