The Cincinnati Enquirer
COVINGTON Two dogs died and a firefighter was injured in a Friday afternoon residential fire that caused about $2,000 in damage, Fire Capt. Chuck Norris said.
Owner Jason Sargent and his family were not home when fire broke out in the basement on East 43rd Street around 3:30 p.m.
The fire started in stereo equipment wiring, Capt. Norris said. Firefighters were able to confine the damage to the stereo equipment and entertainment center.
Firefighter Glenn Johnson injured a leg, said Capt. Norris, who did not know how the injury happened. Mr. Johnson released after treatment at St. Elizabeth Medical Center North.
