Elder spoils Oak Hills' opener

After playing its first eight games on the road this season, Oak Hills finally opened its new gym Tuesday night. Unfortunately for the Highlanders the festivities did not include a win. Elder ruined Oak Hills' home opener 66-60 before a crowd of 2,500.
Tim Schenke scored 10 points in the third quarter to spark a 24-12 Elder run and Oak Hills never recovered. The Highlanders led 24-21 at halftime.
Schenke finished with 12 points. Mike Kelsey scored 20 to lead the Panthers, who played without starting center Scott Benken, out with a knee injury.
Ryan Dietrich led all scorers with 24 points for Oak Hills. Tim Oliverio added 14 points and eight rebounds.
