MedPlus stock zooms back up

        Shares of MedPlus Inc. continued their wild ride Tuesday, gaining 50 cents — or 7.7 percent — to close at $7.

        Stock in the Symmes Township medical software company fell almost 12 percent Monday after a comparable gain Friday.

        MedPlus has not released any news recently to be driving the stock. The company was the biggest mover in 1999's fourth quarter among stocks of local interest, with the stock price gaining 457.5 percent during the three months.

        Shares of MedPlus went from $1.25 Sept. 30 to $6.97 Dec. 31.
